Indore: On Thursday morning, October 23, 2025, two members of the Australian women’s cricket team were walking from their hotel to a café in the Khajrana Road area of Indore when a man on a motorcycle began following them and inappropriately touched one of the players.
The team’s security officers promptly reported the incident to police. Within hours the suspect — identified as Aqeel Khan was arrested and charged under Sections 74 (assault or criminal force to outrage a woman’s modesty) and 78 (stalking) of the BNS.
