Early on Sunday around 4:15 a.m , a woman was molested and assaulted inside the Play Boy club at Kolkata’s Hyatt Regency.
The victim was celebrating with her husband and friends when Nasir Khan and his nephew Junaid suddenly turned violent. Bottles were thrown, exits blocked. She was pushed, touched inappropriately in private areas, and later received death threats. Junaid allegedly called 20 men to join the attack. A medical report confirms her injuries; CCTV footage is being examined.
Nasir Khan is an ex-convict in a rape case – the 2012 Park Street gang rape. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison but served only 7 years and was released in 2020 for ‘good behaviour’—and despite that, he allegedly committed this new assault.
Bidhannagar South Police registered a case against Nasir and Junaid Khan under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing hurt, assault, and criminal force. No arrests yet. Investigation is ongoing.
