Nashik: A teenage girl was harassed during her morning run near Vidya Vikas Circle. She had started her routine at around 6:30 AM and completed nearly 10 kilometres by 8:00 AM. As she began her 11th kilometre on a busy public road in broad daylight, a man riding a grey Jupiter scooter approached from behind, touched her inappropriately, and sped away. Shocked and frightened, she shouted for help, but bystanders did not intervene, leaving her feeling helpless and vulnerable in her own neighbourhood.
The brave young girl @awwneeee refused to remain silent and shared her distressing experience in a detailed Instagram post, urging the public to tag the Nashik Police and help identify the accused.
Her courageous step quickly sparked widespread outrage online. In response, Nashik Police acted promptly, arresting the suspect within 8-12 hours of the complaint gaining traction.
