Accident Victim’s Wife Forced to Clean Blood- Stained Ambulance

A disturbing incident in Katni, MP, has sparked widespread outrage after the wife of a road accident victim was forced to clean the 108 ambulance that transported her husband.

The victim, Rahul Barman, had sustained severe injuries near Karela village and was rushed to the district hospital. Rather than receiving support during a moment of immense trauma, his wife was handed cleaning supplies by the on-duty staff and instructed to wash away the blood stains left inside the vehicle during the transit.

Instead of following standard sanitation guidelines which require specialized staff or the technicians themselves to maintain hygiene, the driver and the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) exploited the woman’s vulnerable state. Following the viral spread of the video and a subsequent district inquiry, the actions were deemed a gross violation of service norms, leading to the immediate termination of both staff members involved.
