A shocking incident occurred at the Hotel Hidden Villa in Danapur, Patna, where a girl from Begusarai, who had come with her father to appear for a polytechnic examination, was harassed by a hotel staff member. The girl and her father had booked room number 103 for ₹1000 and checked in around 11 PM. According to the victim’s father, he was asleep while his daughter was awake when, around 12:48 AM on Sunday, a drunk staff member named Satyendra Kumar entered the room and grabbed the girl’s hand.
When the father woke up and confronted the intruder, the staff member fled. The father immediately informed his nephew, who reached the spot and alerted the police via Dial 112. A police team arrived and conducted a search of the hotel rooms. During the raid, they found four young men and four young women drinking alcohol in another room; all eight were taken to the police station for questioning. Objectionable items and scattered belongings were also recovered from the premises. The hotel manager fled upon the police’s arrival.
Satyendra Kumar (31), the main accused, has been arrested, while two other accused are being searched for. An FIR has been registered at Rupaspur police station. Police are interrogating the detained individuals and plan to question the hotel owner as well. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety and security at the hotel.
