In a horrific incident in Mohali, Punjab, a man st*bbed his ex-girlfriend over 20 times inside their office, she d*ed on the spot, before attempting to end his life too. The attack took place on Thursday evening at a packers and movers company where both worked as colleagues. The accused, Harvinder Mann alias Harry, attacked victim Dimple from behind with a k*ife as she sat at her desk. Despite efforts by four to five employees to intervene, Harry chased and overpowered her.
The pair had been in a relationship for some time, but had recently broken up.
According to initial investigations, Harry was upset and gave the impression that he wanted to reconcile. Both were rushed to Fortis Hospital, where Dimple was declared dead on arrival, while Harry is in critical condition.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the exact motive, with forensic teams collecting evidence from the scene. The victim’s post-mortem is underway.
