Navsari police in Gujarat have arrested a man for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old daughter on three consecutive days. The accused returned from South Africa after living there for about six years, assaulted the girl. After each incident, he forced her to consume contraceptive pills to prevent pregnancy and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the abuse.
The girl finally confided in her mother, leading to a police complaint. The mother demanded strict punishment, stating that the accused “should be hanged.” Police registered a case under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the BNS.
The accused tried to flee but was tracked down and arrested. He has been remanded to judicial custody. The victim is receiving medical and psychological support.
