Hubbali: Another girl looses her life as the boy could not handle rejection

Rejecting romantic advances is not an invitation of violence!

Neha Hiremath, a first-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student at KLE Technological University in Hubballi, Karnataka, tragically lost her life after being brutally stabbed with a knife on campus. The assailant has been identified as 23-year-old Fayaz.
As per reports both of them attended the same college before Fayaz dropped out. Fayaz allegedly made advances towards Neha, which she had rejected.
As per accounts, Fayaz waited for Neha outside the college and then attacked her with a knife, stabbing her multiple times in the neck. The CCTV footage captured the incident, showing Fayaz wearing a mask to conceal his identity. Neha was rushed to KIMS Hospital, by fellow students were she succumbed to her injuries.
Fayaz fled from the scene and was subsequently arrested.

The tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of respecting consent and accepting rejection. There is an alarming need for men to understand and internalize the concept that “no” means “no.” Rejection is not an invitation for aggression or violence; it is a fundamental aspect of personal autonomy and choice. Men must learn to navigate their emotions and ego in a way that respects the agency and boundaries of others, especially women. Consent is paramount in all interactions, and it is imperative that individuals recognize and honor it.
