A 20-year-old woman has been convicted for making ‘hateful’ remarks towards a migrant involved in the gang rape of a minor girl. She is one of 140 individuals currently under investigation in connection with this case.
The case dates back to 2020 when the minor girl was heavily intoxicated and gang raped. 11 people were charged with raping the 15-year-old, however, due to lack of evidence two of them got away. Out of the remaining 9 accused 8 were granted probation for 1-2 years.
Subsequently, given the leniency of the sentencing, the case drew a lot of outrage. A 20-year-old woman texted one of the rapists who got away with probation calling him a ‘dishonourable rapist pig’ and a ‘disgusting miscarriage.’ “Aren’t you ashamed when you look in the mirror?”
The rapist went on to file a complaint against her for her ‘harmful comments’ and a court found her guilty and sentenced her to a weekend in prison.
Additionally, 140 such individuals are being investigated for their ‘hateful remarks’.
