Undercover Women Constables Expose Hidden Abuse Inside TCS

A covert investigation by the Nashik Police into a TCS BPO unit has exposed a deep-seated pattern of workplace misconduct and abuse. Prompted by reports of behavioral changes in a young staffer, undercover officers spent weeks posing as housekeeping staff to infiltrate the office and build trust with employees. This sting operation revealed a toxic environment where supervisory roles were allegedly weaponized to pressure young women, mostly aged 18–25, into compromising situations.

The probe has resulted in nine FIRs filed between late March and early April 2026, with charges ranging from sexual harassment and stalking to rape under the pretext of marriage. Initial arrests included Danish Shaikh and Tousif Attar, whose capture encouraged more victims to break their silence. To date, seven individuals have been arrested, including a senior HR official; notably, HR manager Nida Khan came under scrutiny for allegedly enabling the abuse and ignoring internal complaints before going absconding.

In response to the scandal, Tata Consultancy Services has suspended the accused individuals and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy regarding misconduct. The police investigation remains ongoing as digital evidence suggests the abuse was a long-running systemic issue rather than isolated incidents. Authorities are continuing to provide support for the victims while examining the broader failure of internal oversight at the facility.
