Man Gets Trapped in Escalator & D*es People Walk Past

A tragic incident in the US claimed the life of 40-year-old Steven McCluskey after he became trapped in an escalator at Davis Station in Somerville, Massachusetts. Steven lost his balance at the end of the escalator, and his clothing became caught in the moving machinery, tightening around his neck and restricting his breathing. CCTV footage showed several people passing by while he struggled for help. Around 22 minutes later, an employee arrived and pressed the emergency stop button. Emergency responders later freed Steven and rushed him to hospital, where he fell into a coma and died 10 days later. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.

Safety Awareness: Many people do not know that escalators usually have a red emergency STOP button located at both the top and bottom ends. In an emergency, anyone nearby can press it immediately to stop the escalator and call emergency services. Sometimes, just a few seconds of action can save a life.
