In Rajasthan’s Ajmer district, a shocking murder case unfolded in Shrirampura village. A burning Scorpio SUV was spotted on the highway roadside, about 500 meters from the village. Inside and nearby, four charred bodies were discovered, initially mistaken for a road accident. The deceased were identified as former sarpanch Ram Singh Chaudhary, his mother Poosi Devi, his second wife Suryagyan Devi, and a relative Mahima Chaudhary.
While police investigated the scene, Ram Singh’s first wife Sunita was at home dramatically mourning—beating her chest, crying loudly, and even faking fainting spells—surrounded by village women who offered her condolences. She initially told police that her husband had taken his mother to the hospital for chest pain. However, forensic examination revealed injuries on the bodies indicating they were killed before being placed in the vehicle and set on fire to stage an accident.
Police investigation, supported by technical evidence and villager statements, revealed a long-standing family dispute over Ram Singh’s two wives living in the same house.
According to police, Sunita, along with her daughter Sarita and minor son, allegedly killed the four victims with sharp weapons during a heated argument that night. The bodies were then loaded into the Scorpio and burned. The trio has been taken into custody, and further investigations is ongoing.
