On June 18, 26-year-old Ketan Vishal Agrawal was m*rdered at Lohagad Fort near Pune in a plot police say was planned by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary. They were engaged since February and were to tie the knot in a month’s time.
Siya persuaded Ketan to celebrate her birthday with a trek to the fort. Ketan went trekking with Siya and a group of friends, while Chetan arrived separately as planned. During the outing, Ketan was pushed into a 400-foot gorge, resulting in his death. After the incident, Siya told authorities that Ketan had accidentally slipped due to strong winds while taking photographs near the edge.
The case took a dramatic turn after Ketan’s father raised suspicions and sought a deeper investigation. Police say they uncovered evidence of an affair between Siya and Chetan, along with a conspiracy to k*ll Ketan. Following the investigation and Chetan’s alleged confession, both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were arrested and charged with m*rder and criminal conspiracy.
