Jaipur police have uncovered a shocking m*rder case in which a 24-year-old woman, Ayushi Sharma, plotted to k*ll her own mother, Neeraj Sharma, for family property and a government job. Neeraj, who had taken a court job on compassionate grounds after her husband’s death last year, was run over by a speeding SUV on July 4 in what first appeared to be a road accident. According to police, Ayushi was upset because her mother decided to take the job herself, following advice from her brother, instead of giving it to Ayushi.
Ayushi allegedly roped in her cousin Balram and paternal uncle Mohan Swaroop Sharma in the conspiracy. She promised them a big share of valuable family land in return for help. After an unsuccessful first attempt a month earlier, the group hired contract k*ller and rented a Scorpio SUV. On the day of the m*rder, Ayushi called her mother home on some pretext while she was returning with her mentally challenged younger brother from a physiotherapy session. The SUV then deliberately hit Neeraj at high speed, k*lling her on the spot.
Police grew suspicious after reviewing CCTV footage that clearly showed the incident was not an accident. The videos revealed the SUV waiting in advance and men signalling before the crash. Investigations led to the arrest of Ayushi and other accused, who confessed to the crime. Ayushi showed no remorse during questioning. Further investigations are ongoing.
