In Muzaffarnagar, UP, a mother of 2 young daughters, c*t off her father-in-law’s genitals with a blade on Friday afternoon. She claimed that the elderly man had been raping her almost daily for the past two years. Neighbors heard the man screaming in pain and informed the police, who rushed him to a Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
The woman told police that her father-in-law would harass and molest her even while she was doing household chores. When she informed her husband about the abuse, he did not believe her. Frustrated and prepared, she had kept a blade with her and acted on the day of the incident. Her husband, Shahzad, has been living and working in Haryana for the past two years as a rickshaw puller. The couple has two young daughters, aged 5 and 6. The woman’s mother-in-law had passed away earlier.
Local women neighbors supported the accused, stating that the father-in-law was often seen misbehaving with his daughter-in-law, though they were unaware of the full extent. Police have taken the woman into custody for further questioning and are investigating the case. The victim’s husband has been informed about the incident.
