In Imadpur village of Jehanabad, Bihar, 25-year-old Anshu Devi was brutally m*rdered by her younger brother-in-law, Kunal Kumar, using a sharp weapon.
Anshu’s husband, Dharmendra Kumar, along with other family members, had gone to the fields for paddy transplantation, leaving her alone at home. During this time, Kunal arrived and demanded food. A delay in serving the meal led to an argument between them. In a fit of rage, the accused attacked Anshu and m*rdered her. He then took her remains and h*ng them from a banyan tree outside the village.
Villagers noticed the horrific scene and alerted the police. The police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. Local residents caught the accused, Kunal Kumar, and handed him over to the police. The weapon used in the m*rder was also recovered.
The accused is currently in police custody and is being interrogated. Some villagers claimed that the accused was addicted to drugs.
