Girl students of a government higher secondary school in Kadel village, Ajmer, blackened the face of their principal, Sushil Kumar Rinwa, with ink during a protest over molestation allegations. Students and parents gathered at the school and held a demonstration against him.
The main allegation involves a Class XII student who claimed that Rinwa had been harassing and assaulting her since class IX. She further said that he offered her bribe to remain silent. A teacher from the same school also came forward saying the principal had misbehaved with her earlier.
Police reached the spot, detained Rinwa, and said a case of molestation would be registered under relevant sections. A large crowd had gathered outside the school and assaulted him before he was taken into custody. The education department has recorded statements and forwarded a report for further action. The matter remains under investigation.
