A shocking case came to light in Gaya when locals caught Rehan Ansari at Banke Dham hill while he was making an obscene video of a minor girl. When people snatched his phone and checked it, they found many objectionable videos. Rehan escaped from the spot. The matter became serious when the brother of a 15-year-old girl saw one of the videos. One of the girls in the video was his own sister. He then filed a complaint with the police.
The brother said Rehan had brainwashed his sister and other minor girls. The 15-year-old girl was living alone in a rented room to prepare for competitive exams while her parents worked in Himachal Pradesh. He demanded strict punishment for Rehan, including an encounter.
Following the complaint, police registered an FIR under the POCSO Act and other serious sections and formed an SIT. Rehan Ansari was arrested from Patna on Thursday. He was hiding there and planning to escape to another city. Police found many obscene videos on his phone, with several clips longer than 20 minutes. Authorities have assured strict action against the accused.
