A disturbing incident involving two Class 10 students has been reported from Bihar’s Jamui. According to police, the two friends were returning from coaching classes on a scooter around 7 pm on September 19 when they were stopped by a group of people on the Jamui-Lakhisarai road. A video of the incident later surfaced online, showing the teenagers being surrounded and harassed by the group.
Jamui Police have identified around seven people involved in the incident and arrested three so far. A Special Investigation Team headed by a woman officer has been formed, and raids are underway to locate the remaining suspects.
An FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Further investigations are ongoing.
