POV : Someone is trying to abduct you..
Experts stress that resisting abduction—especially preventing being taken to a second location—is absolutely critical.
The first location is usually public, where help is possible. The second location, often isolated, can be far more dangerous and potentially fatal. That’s why experts urge victims to scream loudly, physically fight back, throw objects, bite, kick—anything to draw attention and delay the attacker. Even in panic, this kind of resistance can disrupt the abductor’s plan and significantly improve chances of escape or rescue.
A woman in St. Augustine narrowly escaped a kidnapping after a man dragged her out of her workplace toward his truck. Surveillance footage shows her screaming, resisting fiercely, and drawing attention—actions that likely saved her life.
Police confirmed the suspect had just committed a robbery before attempting the abduction. A bystander’s intervention forced him to flee, and he was later arrested.
