Varanasi Bride Rejects Groom Over Disrespect Towards Women

Varanasi: During a wedding ceremony in Varanasi, the groom’s friends made objectionable remarks and jokes about the bride’s friends. The bride, Jyoti Sharma, 23, politely asked the groom to stop his friends and intervene. However, instead of taking a stand, the groom reportedly laughed along with them.

Feeling disrespected and humiliated, Jyoti decided to call off the wedding.
