Anmol Patwa, a Ram Swaroop University student, was attacked in Lucknow on September 15. He intervened to help his friend’s sister near campus. She fainted during a dispute with her boyfriend. Anmol’s aid drew threats from the group.
The group also threatened Anmol’s friend Parul. The next evening, Anmol visited a local store. Assailants ambushed him there. They stabbed him several times. They forced his hand into hot oil. They stole his chain and fled on a motorcycle. The assault was partly recorded.
Anmol required urgent medical care. His injuries were serious but not fatal. The university community was shocked. His effort to protect his friend’s sister led to severe consequences. The attack exposed campus safety risks.
Police filed an FIR against three suspects—Pranav Mishra, Utkarsh Shukla, and Shivam Singh—plus unidentified others. They launched a probe to arrest all involved.
