Agra, UP: Teacher Pulls Pistol After Woman Refuses ₹5,000 Offer
A shocking incident unfolded in Agra when a government school teacher, identified as Shyamveer Singh, tried to coerce a 22-year-old woman on the road.
According to reports, he offered her ₹5,000 to accompany him, implying sexual intent. When the woman refused, he reportedly brandished a licensed pistol and attempted to drag her into his car.
The victim bravely resisted, struggling with the accused and preventing him from forcing her into the vehicle. Her loud cries drew the attention of passersby, forcing the teacher to flee the scene. Quick police action followed, and the accused was arrested. Authorities also seized his car and the licensed pistol. The accused is employed as a teacher in a government school in Baldev, Mathura.
The victim lodged a formal complaint at Sikandra police station, and an FIR has been registered. Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
