The scammer, posing as her father’s friend, claimed to have sent Rs 18000 extra via UPI and presented a fake SMS from a personal number as proof. The girl quickly identified the scam, questioning the authenticity of the notification. Her sharp response left the scammer admitting defeat, saying, “Maan Gaya Main” (I give up).
The interaction was captured in a video that went viral, highlighting her quick thinking in spotting the fraudulent attempt. The incident underscores the importance of vigilance in recognizing suspicious financial transactions that have grown in scale & sophistication over the last few years.
